After attending the Future Leaders Program with the California MBA I was surprised at the depth of the self-work gained from the course. The Future Leaders program combined industry activism, interactive leadership development, as well as networking opportunities with Industry leaders. I was able to build relationships and gain new perspectives from MBA board members that I may not otherwise have had exposure to. I also enjoyed building lasting relationships with my project team members from other organizations in various business channels. I feel that it has had an impact on my personal growth as a leader, as well as my career.
The California MBA Future Leaders Program gave me many opportunities for access to current leaders in the mortgage industry. Whether the interaction was in the setting of legislative day, a meal, a convention, a presentation, the group project, a phone call, or a video meeting, the time with these intelligent and driven people was invaluable. I found the leaders I met through the Program events to not only be willing to provide mentorship, or to give of their time, but eager to contribute to my career.
The program also provided exposure to parts of the industry that I would likely not learn about on my own. The Future Leaders Program is a well-thought out and well-executed way to get a bit outside of your comfort zone, where growth happens.
